What is Keratin Complex Natural Keratin Smoothing Treatment by COPPOLA?
It is a specially formulated revitalizing and rejuvenating treatment for the hair that eliminates up to 95% of frizz and curl. The advanced patent-pending formulation restores and restructures hair by infusing a special blend of natural keratin deep into the cuticle. The keratin is bonded into the cuticle by the heat of the flat iron to relax the hair’s sub-cuticle layer.

Does Keratin Complex Natural Keratin Smoothing Treatment by COPPOLA contain the harmful ingredient formaldehyde?
No.

How long should I expect to be in the salon?
Time will be determined on an individual basis. Each client will be consulted on an individual basis. We will be considering your hair length, type and texture of your hair. You should allow at least a 2 to 3 hour window of time, as this service must not be rushed.

What results can I expect after this treatment?
The hair will be more manageable and take much less time to style. It will be noticeably softer and straighter, with added life and shine as well as a lengthened look.

Can I have my hair colored before the treatment?
Yes! A great time to have the treatment done would be directly after any color service. The treatment will extend the life and seal the color in, leaving it vibrant, however, for hair glossing or toners have color done 3-5 days after treatment for optimal results.        

Can the treatment be done on chemically treated hair, previously relaxed or straightened hair?
Yes. It is recommended to wait two weeks between any chemical services and adjust iron temperature based on hair type. If necessary, your stylist will instruct you further.

How long after the treatment should I wait before I get my hair wet?
You should wait a minimum of 72 hours (3 days) before washing your hair, swimming or sweating.

Can I pull my hair back or clip it up during the 72 hour waiting period?
No. The hair should not have any impressions made by using bands or clips.

What should be done if I get my hair wet during the 72 hour waiting period?
Blow dry and flat iron the hair with medium heat immediately.

What Kind of shampoo and conditioner should I use after the treatment?
Keratin Care Shampoo & Conditioner (Sodium-Chloride Free) or Keratin Color Care Shampoo & Conditioner (Sodium-Chloride and Sulfate Free).

How often can the treatment be done?
The treatment can be done as often as every 4-6 weeks.

Is the re-application of the treatment done on the entire head or just on the new growth?
The re-application should be done on the entire head as the build-up of keratin can only improve, not harm, the hair.

How long will the treatment last?

On average, you can expect it to last at least 3-5 months, provided that you follow the after care and handling instructions.
