Effective January 1, 2023

With our New Booking System a credit/debit card is required to have on file to reserve an appointment. If you do not want a credit card on file a 50% deposit of the service will be requested upon booking your appointment. Our Appointment policy is as Stated below.

APPOINTMENT POLICY

We understand that things come up, but when you forget to cancel or reschedule your appointment without giving notice, we miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time, your stylist looses income and clients on our waiting list miss the opportunity to receive services.

Our appointments reminders are sent via text and/or email, Immediately upon booking, 2 weeks before your appointment and are confirmable via text and/or email 48 hours in advance because we know how easy it is to forget an appointment you booked weeks or months ago. You will also receive a Same Day text two hours before your appointment as a last minute reminder. Every reminder has a link to view our cancellation policy. 

We understand that emergencies do come up, but we reserve the right to charge the following fees if necessary*:

36 HOUR CANCELLATIONS

A Courtesy Fee of 25% of the reserved service amount will apply if you do not cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 36 hours prior to the day of your appointment. This fee "can be applied" to a future appointment within 10 days of original appointment.

SAME DAY CANCELLATIONS

A Courtesy Fee of 50% of the reserved service amount will apply if you cancel your appointment The Same Day.  This FEE is NOT transferrable to any other appointment.

A Courtesy Fee of 100% If You "No Show" and Fail to Cancel At All. The 100% FEE is NOT transferable to any other appointment. 

In addition any Service Booking over $100 will require a 50% deposit for new clients when scheduling.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
We accept Cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and Apple Pay. We do not accept checks.

GUEST COMFORT
The following complimentary beverages are provided during your visit:  Water, Coffee, Hot Tea, Iced Tea and some Assorted Candies.  Free Internet access is provided in our salon to keep you in touch with the world.

CHILDREN AND THEIR SAFETY
We love children, but even you need a break.  Please make arrangements accordingly as small children are not permitted in the salon service areas. When bringing young children into the salon and spa, please provide supervision for them in the form of a friend, spouse or older child which can remain with them in the reception areas. 

LOCKERS AND SMOCKS
Lockers and smocks are provided to protect your valuables. Please utilize this amenity to ease any safety concerns you may have for your personal items. Christopher Stephens is not responsible for personal items brought into the salon.

ACCESSIBILITY TO SERVICE AREAS
Upon arrival please remain in the reception area until your service provider greets you. Out of respect for other clientele and staff members, only clients having a service performed at that time are permitted in any service area, all others may remain in the reception seating area..

SERVICE EXCLUSIONS
Sorry, we DO NOT allow clients to blow dry their own hair.  

We reserve the right to not perform a service if we feel your hair is not in good condition for the service being requested to be performed.

GRATUITY POLICY
If you feel that your service provider has gone above and beyond and you wish to show your appreciation with a gratuity it would be much appreciated.   Providing a gratuity to your salon professional is always optional, never feel obligated.
 
At Christopher Stephens, we do allow clients to place gratuities on credit cards  via our TIPPY Tipping System. Your service provider will receive their tip directly to their bank account the next business day. This does incur a 1.8% transaction fee for each tip amount.  If you wish for your service provider to receive their gratuity immediately or avoid the transaction fee, please provide them with cash.  We do not allow Zelle, Cash App, or other Apps for Tipping as it is not tax wise legal for your service provider.

SCHEDULING
Appointments are scheduled to allow ample time to complete your service. Please help us by arriving 15 minutes prior to your appointment time.  Arriving late may compromise the time available to complete your service.

Upon arriving, please turn your cell phone ringer off in consideration of others.
